Uttar Pradesh attracts many national and international tourists. Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in Agra is also located in Uttar Pradesh. The state houses several holy Hindu temples and pilgrimage centres. Along with several historical, natural and religious tourist destinations, including Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Kushinagar, Mathura, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh is also home to three World Heritage sites.
The coldest months here are December-January and the hottest months are May-June. The Temperature varies from 5° to 17° centigrade in winters and 30° to 42° in summers. But some times winter temperature ebbs to 3° C and summer temperature shoots up to 45° C.
